As Production Artist at Newk's Eatery, I am part of a two-person design team specializing in both digital and print media for the restaurant industry. I bring a versatile skill set, creating captivating email campaigns, high-quality print materials, and impactful digital ads. My knowledge extends to crafting engaging social media content, animated visuals, and compelling commercial videos. These samples showcase my ability to tell Newk's Eatery's story across various platforms and contribute to the brand's overall success.
Email Design
As the dedicated email specialist at Newk's Eatery, I produce all communications directed to Newk's Rewards members, averaging 8-10 emails per month. Here's a glimpse into my process:
Each campaign begins with a comprehensive brief provided by the overseeing project manager. This brief outlines expectations, including specific copy details and which products to feature. Beyond these guidelines, I take creative responsibility for the overall look and feel of the email.
I will then create a rough sketch or wireframe to map out the structure of the email. Then, I use InDesign to create the larger, visual elements of the email. In this role, I am using the email builder within our loyalty software, Punchh, to upload my designed images and incorporate them with live text, buttons, hyperlinks, etc.
Print Design
I assist in creating in-store print assets such as menus, window posters, table tents, and flyers for all 100 Newk's restaurant locations. Additionally, I play a key role in ideating and executing quarterly themed promotional windows that showcase limited-time menu offerings.
My print design experience at Newk's also extends to local store marketing initiatives and our in-house catering company, Newk's Catering. Assets for these projects range from flyers, direct mailers, and magazine ads to billboards, outdoor banners, and stadium scrollers.

Promotional Windows
Newk's has 4 annual promotional windows featuring limited-time menu offerings. These windows require the design and versioning of several print assets.
For the 2023 Q4 Promotional Window, "New at Newk's," I took on full responsibility from conceptualization to execution of the window. This was the first promotional window following Newks' full rebrand in October 2023, so I was also challenged with settling into the deployment of new branding.

Digital Ads
Collaborating with our team's digital media specialist, I create a variety of digital ads, including display ads and social media ads for placement on Google, Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and more.
Animated Ads
I create animated ads for social and media ad placement. These usually correspond with promotional windows or new product launches. The below examples were created with Adobe After Effects.
Commercials & Video
I also assist in storyboarding and directing commercial video shoots. I took the task of needing "an extra pair of hands" on set literally - most of the on-camera food handling was done by me.
